General reasons for excess weight may include medical causes, underlying emotional problems, stress and wrong habits.

When the subconscious mind is in pain it creates symptoms as a cry for help. The presence of underlying emotional problems can often be recognised by emotional eating (craving excess or unhealthy food when you are feeling emotionally ‘up’ or ‘down’).
